World’s best street food revealed

A 2019 study conducted by My Late Deals has revealed Hong Kong to be the world’s street food capital.

The study ranked cities on the number of street food stalls, tours, experiences, affordability and sanitation, and came up with the 30 best cities for street food in the world.

Hong Kong placed first, with its high sanitation standards and large array of street food experiences. Known for its cheung fun, dim sum and curry fishballs, most street food in Hong Kong is reasonably affordable at around $10.

Bangkok, which came second, was noted for its large number of street food vendors as well as being  home to the cheapest street food at around $3 a pop for pad thai, khao niao mamuang and tom yum goong.

Ho Chi Minh, known for its pho, banh mi and goi cuon, came in third, while Sydney led the way for Australia, coming in at sixth.
