Pasta with Pumpkin Sauce

Why not switch your regular pasta sauce with our Pasta with Pumpkin Sauce? It’s quick, simple, deliciously creamy and perfect on a cold night.

Serves: Two

Time: 20 minutes


  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/8  teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
  • pinch cayenne pepper
  • freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons cream
  • 2 cups pasta



Boil water in a large pot. Once the water is boiling, add the pasta to the pot and cook for 10 minutes or until al dente. Drain. While the water is boiling, mince two cloves of garlic and add them to a large pan with one tablespoon of butter. Sauté over medium–low heat for two minutes and then add the pumpkin puree and chicken broth and stir. Add the nutmeg, chilli powder, cayenne pepper and some freshly cracked pepper. Stir in the spices and let the sauce simmer over medium–low heat while the pasta cooks. Stir occasionally.  Add the cream to the pan and stir into the pumpkin sauce. Stir the drained pasta into the sauce and serve.
