Crunchy Top Tuna Bake in under half an hour

With just seven ingredients, this dish can be on the table in under 30 minutes.

30-minute Crunchy Top Tuna Bake

Made with only seven ingredients, this delicious tuna bake can be out from the pantry and on the table in under 30 minutes. Loaded with omega-3-rich tuna, veggies and pasta, and topped with a crunchy breadcrumb topping, this recipe will hit the spot!

Serves: 2


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 medium zucchini, diced
  • 1/2 medium leek, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 150g cooked pasta penne
  • 1 small can tuna in brine, drained
  • 50g breadcrumbs


In an ovenproof pan, heat the oil over a medium heat. Add the zucchini and leeks, and sauté for five minutes until the leeks are soft and golden. 

Add the mushroom soup and stir until heated through. Next, toss in the cooked pasta and tuna, and blend well.

Finally, sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the tuna mixture and then place under a hot grill and cook for five minutes until the topping is golden and crispy. Serve with a fresh garden salad.

    The ingredients list says cooked pasta but the actual cooking directions says to add the UNCOOKED pasta.

    Please explain?

    Think it should read "cooked pasta" in the cooking directions. I don't think any pasta will cook in 5 minutes under a grill!
