Set in 1970s South Boston, Black Mass tells the story of FBI agent John Connolly’s deal with Irish mobster, James ‘Whitey’ Bulger, to bring down their common enemy: the Italian mafia. The now infamous deal eventually spiralled out of control and allowed Bulger to become one of the most famous criminals in US history.
