Making Christmas more personal

Let me be clear here: this is not a sponsored article. I almost wish it was as it would most likely mean I had received some sort of monogrammed goods for writing about this. Instead, I have chosen to do so as somewhat of a public service announcement  – particularly given we’re less than three weeks from Christmas (deep breaths).

For the uninitiated, The Daily Edited (TDE) does beautiful monogrammed pieces. Everything from iPhone cases to wallets and luggage tags – you name it, they personalise it.

I’m a big fan of the monogram. As far as I’m concerned everything looks better with your initials embossed on it. Which is why, when faced with the challenge of getting my dad a suitably special present for his significant birthday (I can be discreet) I found myself on The Daily Edited site. Having pondered on the subject for an embarrassing amount of time, in the end I decided on a monogrammed leather notebook cover. With refilling available for the selected notebook, the gift was delivered to me in packaging so beautiful I was hesitant to open it. Best of all, when presented with his gift, my dad was just as touched as I’d hoped he would be.

Anyway, I digress. The moral of the story is The Daily Edited is your go-to for personalised items that make great gifts … did I mention it’s less than three weeks until Christmas?

Even better, if you’re in Melbourne, The Daily Edited just launched a pop up at the fashion capital (also known as Chadstone) in collaboration with LuxBite, an innovative cafe, which allows you to shop, personalise and eat simultaneously. Because what’s better than monogramming? Monogramming with macaroons, obviously.

A multi-tasker’s dream, the cafe – a vision of pink, green and gold – is arguably as pretty as the products it stocks. Far from the Christmas shopping of your nightmares, TDE x LuxBite lets you enjoy your coffee and cake while they stamp your nearest and dearest’s initials, and package it to boot.

Open until February, I know where I’ll be going from the airport on 23 December. Who said you can’t have your cake and eat it too?
