Best Christmas markets 2020

Font Size:

It’s no surprise that Christmas markets will be operating differently this year, and sadly many of the country’s favourites won’t be going ahead at all. Even Germany’s famous snow-covered Christmas markets have been cancelled. Luckily, many Australian cities are going ahead with beloved Christmas celebrations, or making arrangements to satisfy the festive dreams of shoppers.

Make sure you book these dates into your festive calendar.

If you’re searching for experiences rather than gifts, the beloved Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Spectacular is sure to excite anyone exploring New South Wales this summer. The stunning gardens host a Ferris wheel and smaller rides for younger children, giant snowmen, food and – most famously – more than three million lights that make up the spectacular Christmas light display. Tickets cost $30 for adults, $25 for children between four and 15, or $99 for a family of two adults and two children.
