This is the first time that I’ve read about this. We need this idea not only here in Australia but in other parts of the globe as well. For example, countries like Bangladesh and India can surely make use of this idea and can immediately have an impact as people will be able to save time and effort from going to one point to another especially that these countries do have cities that are really highly-congested due to overpopulation.

This will surely be a big help to all Australians, kudos to the ones responsible for this. It will surely save a lot of time, resources, and effort for pensioners.

in reply to: Brands you trust – and those you don’t #1789323

Before, when business is doing well, I opted to choose the most famous brands, which gives me assurance that the product is really of high quality. However, when my finances are not doing well, as much as possible, I buy products based on the prices and not on the brand anymore. Most of the time, popular brands do have higher standards of quality that makes them more trusted than its counterparts.

in reply to: How much money would you spend on your pet? #1789283

Although I am not a person who loves pets due to allergies to their furs/hairs and etc. I think there are people who are willing to spend a significant amount of money on their pets because they feel the need to. They treat those animals like humans and not only that, they are their loved ones.

Having said so, people like them do not actually care about money anymore. They can spend plenty of their finances on such animals regardless of their breed as what is important for them is to care for their pets as long as they can and show their love for them.

There is a saying that goes, you cannot bring the things that you have when you die that is why those people I guess are just living their lives to the fullest. If having pets make them fulfill their duties here on Earth then I guess that is where they found happiness. I know someone who has lots of cats at home and they are just stray cats, those cats are everywhere, from her kitchen to the dining table and etc. It might look nasty for me but for her it is a good thing.

I wonder what these big companies are up to, do they have a purpose just like lowering the population, or for whatsoever reason they are not playing fair. The government must take deep consideration of what those manufacturers are putting on the products that they are selling.

in reply to: Electricity Rebate tips #1789090

Thank you for the tips. Other than these tips, I began switching to more energy-efficient home appliances which helped me cut down a lot on my electricity bills. I discovered that old appliances consume a lot of electricity compared to the newer ones.

in reply to: Charities Sending out Letters #1789080

There is no problem at all if they are really for charities but the problem is some of those solicitations are not even for charity use, the money just goes straight to certain people for personal use which is really sad.

in reply to: How to stop your windscreen wipers from making a noise #1789075

Shampoo or hair conditioner both works great. Tried it also on a car that has a set of wipers that weren’t working, I was able to survive driving through a torrential rain without having problems with my visibility due to the fact that these hair products have the capacity to somehow repel rain as the surface of the windshield becomes really smooth when you apply them.

in reply to: Drivers could get points for good driving #1789031

This is a proposal that is worth implementing. If it encourages people to drive safely then there will surely be a decline in accidents that occur throughout Australia which will save a lot of lives in the long run.

The same goes for manufacturers who put parabens on toothpaste and other beauty products. Parabens are known to be carcinogenic and my gosh, why would they risk the health of their consumers for those particular ingredients? Could not they find better alternatives for the ingredients that will not impose harm on someone’s health?

in reply to: We need to stop this US trend #1788950

For me, gender reveal parties or in other countries known as “baby shower” is really unnecessary. Not only it is an added expense but can also eat a lot of time in preparation. If you are a busy person who attends to a lot of things, I guess these kind of parties must not be prioritized.

in reply to: Should public transport be free? #1788883

There is an old saying that goes, you have to teach a man how to fish rather than giving him a fish for free. In this way, you’ll teach him how to get his own food for life rather than giving a food that will only last for one meal. Just like when it comes to public transportation, if it is given for free every day then expect that huge chunks of the national budget will be allotted to free transportation which can be really damaging to the economy of the country. There is nothing wrong in giving free rides if it is only for a limited timeframe but for life then it is a big no because in that case, it will be just another band-aid solution.

in reply to: Has anyone ever traveled alone? #1788882

If you are traveling alone, it is important that you are not only ready physically but mentally as well. Especially for first-timers, engaging yourself in a whole new different culture including the spoken language of the country that you are planning to visit could be very challenging. At first it can make you anxious but if you are ready then expect that everything will be really smooth.

    What to bring?
    – Be sure that you have your complete documents
    – Sufficient clothes to wear
    – Plenty of pocket money so that you’ll be ready in case there are unforeseen scenarios that might happen
    – Extra phones or tablets for communication
    – First-aid kits
    – Notebook

in reply to: Diet method may reverse type 2 diabetes #1788877

This is a great advancement in the medical world. I never did fasting though except if there is a need for laboratory blood tests. My fasting blood sugar is at the border line and hasn’t been on maintenance medications for blood sugar except for hypertension, I just watched my diet carefully by cutting down on carbs plus sweating it up a few hours per day.

in reply to: When does a man stop having an affair? #1788876

Actually is not only because of the physiological state of a man’s body, there are instances that men might stop having an affair after getting tired of what he is doing or should I say that a man has tried everything already. Everyone gets bored and men are no exception, until the libidos are high expect that more affairs will take place but this can be combated with the right attitude and at the same time being morally upright.

Having something to do like a hobby that diverts attention is usually the best thing to do to avoid having affairs and I found out that men who turn themselves away from vices by being religious are mostly the ones who can easily get out of any affairs married or not married.

It depends on the situation though as some people are allergic to milk. But with regards to putting milk in a coffee, I totally love it as black coffee alone triggers my hyperacidity.

in reply to: Drinking alcohol to prevent dementia? #1788853

I used to drink 1 glass of cheap brandy every other day and I found that it is also good for digestion. Hopefully that will also lessen my chances of catching dementia in the future too.

in reply to: Can’t open games anymore. #1788795

    Hi Bullfright,

There could be several reasons why games may not work or even load on a Chromebook, but works like a charm on an iPhone:

OS Compatibility: There are games that may only work with specific operating systems, such as iOS, and may not work on Chrome OS. Since they are completely different operating systems, their framework works really differently.
Browser compatibility: If the game is a browser base then you must consider that it may not be compatible with the Chrome browser, and may only work on specific browsers such as iOS browsers such as Safari.
Flash Player: This is very important. There are games that are only accessible if you have Adobe Flash Player installed, which is sadly not supported by Chrome OS.
System Requirements: The game may have certain system requirements that are not met by the Chromebook, such as required specifications of processor, graphics card, or amount of RAM.
Internet connection: This is a lesser common issue that might also be the cause of your games not running on a specific device. Take a chance by restarting your router or modem, or testing your connection speed to see if this is the issue.

You can also try to contact the game developer on the website specified on the game. They will give you the exact troubleshooting required to run that game especially if they are working before on that device but just suddenly stops working.

    Best of luck!
