Wise words

Kaye’s mum used to tell her that “there are plenty more fish in the sea”, while Debbie’s granny’s favourite saying was “what’s for you won’t go past you”. What phrases do you remember from your childhood, or what ‘advice’ did you use to give your own children?

Dad used to say, "Tell me who your friends are and i'll tell you what you are". Another

one I used to say to my boys when blowing out their Birthday candles, "Make a wish, and

don't wish for money".
