$300 to go to the moon - bargain!
Buzz Aldrin has tweeted his travel expenses for getting to the moon and back, and they may not be as much as you would think.
A travel voucher for a round trip from Houston, Texas (via the moon), which is thought to include car hire to get him to the launch site, shows the princely sum of $US33.31 (AUS $45.55). When adjusted for inflation, this totals around US$216.59 or AUS$297.22 in today’s money. Seems quite reasonable, eh?
What if it really only cost $300 to go to the moon? Would you? Or can you think of better ways to spend the cash?
Absolutely no interest in travelling beyond planet earth....
