What is considered the prime of life?

We’ve all heard that 40 is the new 30 and 60 is the new 50, but how about the many active people still pushing boundaries well into their 70s and 80s? What makes them tick? What is their secret elixir?

This is an interesting piece about what is considered the prime of life.

Have you ever wondered when the prime of your life will be? What is the best age to be? What is your secret of longevity?

I can only speak from my own perspective;  but I think a huge part of a good long life is having good genes.

Mother went to 87;  apart from dementia she had no physical ailments that I can recall.  Father went to 94...other than a back injury sustained during the war which came back to haunt him in his later years he was pretty good..apart from mild hypertension which I obviously inherited from him.

Keeping active, having a good social life, staying  connected and keeping up with technology,   I believe is extremely important as one ages and don't say"Iam old, I can't do this and I can't do that".  Negativity is bad for the soul.

The prime of life was probably when I was single, fancy free and had the freedom to travel overseas and do as I wished.

I agree with Radish, as regards living a long full life... as far as the prime of life i think it is when one sits back and looks at their grandchildren achieve, to me that is complete fullfilment the prime of my life.

Must agree with you Radish

The prime of life is when you are footloose and fancy free :)

Wonder what sort of insanity posses a person to ever

depart from that ?

Think prime of life comes at different times for different things.

My present prime of life these days is knowing the kids and grandkids are

all right. Bills are paid and the wife and I can come and go as we please.

Gosh that takes a lot of thinking about...I guess I am in the prime of my life now, when I can still ride the on the merry go round and hurtle down the waterslide in the flume at the adventure parks with my grandchildren, ( I do have a "bit" of a problem getting out though). My secret to longevity is to always keep a sense of humour and fun in your handbag, to take out when needed...Sharing it round to those that need it...and enjoying a small amount of chocolate with my hubby of 50 years who is well trained in the art of giving me the compliments needed to keep me young at heart...

When you are both physically and mentally capable of doing what you want to do you are in your prime.

Every day is different and all appear to be as prime as each other.

Head on the pillow and you think to yourself. "That was great I managed to do it yet again."

Just living each day to the best of your ability is prime.
