"The Auditor-General, in a report to be released next month, will blow the lid on a system that has few outside checks. It is believed the probe has uncovered irregularities covering parliamentary entitlements, costing taxpayer up to $390 million a year.
These include generous allowances covering cars, travel, communications and general administration."

I am speechless ....

I'm not :exclaim: It is one big rip off of the taxpayer and we seemingly have no say as they only ever want our vote and then forget us. See with compulsory voting they can. :coolgrin:

Have you noticed that we are getting more and more of these reports now I know Rudd is doing them to see how he can change things and a new broom always sweeps clean - but wow - what did the last AG do - twiddle his thumbs after checking 14 years of Labor and hide the bits and pieces of how both of them rort the system for their own back pocket glory and then agree to agree not to tell the punters - us:(



Personally I think since Rudd and his crew have never got out of election mode - they will tell us a lot of things maybe would normally hide to get re elected as the good guys.



Cynical? - yep that is me. don't trust any of them when it comes to their interests - unilateral was invented to cover these thing just as compulsory voting was invented to make sure on of the other of the two major parties were always in government
