Sadly, our gutless PM hasn't got enough brains to protect us from it.

I agree that this climate change scare is a racket and is raising the costs of many things at an alarming rate.

Now we are all to get "SMART" electricity meters that will cost us $200- $300 more per year.



Did you all know that if you have off peak water heating installed that the electricity provider can turn them on and off at will.

I had it and I noticed that it was heating at a abnormal time just after noon.

I 'phoned the company and they changed the meter the next day to an older timer type.

The guys who changed it told me that at times of surplus power on the grid they send a pulse down the line to turn on your heaters to use up power.

This is no better than stealing.

Forcing us to use more of their product than we need.



It really is amazing what big business can get away with.

Octo' this is stealing and also lying as they are tell us not to use power and have come up with all this crap about changing bulbs etc--and then they do this !!



I do have an off peak system--will have to keep an eye on it--not that I use the hot water all that much. I do my washing in cold water
