You will find the info you require on the above link .. generally it depends on how much your partner is earning.

"Singles can earn $164 per fortnight before their Age pension reduces. It will drop by 50 cents for every $1 you earn over $164. Couples who are both eligible for the Age pension can earn $292 a fortnight (combined) without affecting their Age pension."

Why would your husband not report his income?  I don't and probably never will qualify for the Pension Entitlement in any form, I don't resent people receiving it because they have probably worked just as hard or harder than me whilst in the workforce and contributed taxes to wards it.  But someone who is deliberatley rorting the system deserves to be reported and penalised.

Unfortunatley as part of a couple you may end up suffering for his indescretion.

ex PS     I totally agree with you I hate the fact that he is doing this

It really is a dilema, you can love someone even though you may not love what they are doing.  I hope for your sake he does not get caught.

On the topic of Old Age Pensions, can anyone tell me if a person who retires while their spouse is working is entitled to an Old Age Pension, and is the spouses wage taken into account.  Someone close to me asked me this question recently and as I will never get a Pension or Part Pension I had no idea how to reply.

Think you will find the answer ex PS (as posted earler by Radish) on the Government's site at https://www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/enablers/income-test-pensions.

Thanks RnR, I was hoping that someone who had been through the process could give some feedback, I have been to the site as sugested, but always prefer first hand experiance.

thank you
