phone dial-er to wear around the neck

G'day everybody - hope all is well.

The other day my big sister fell in a public bus at Dandenong and the driver assisted her off the bus and into a bus stop seat and left her on a 40c day.

Doss could not move but a passer by helped - called an ambulance and Dandynong Hospital looked after her - she has a broken coxic bone so will take a while to get over that as she is eighty six.

The wife and i are in our seventies and both recall a meeting we were at and a young professional told us of an aide in case of emergency that is worn around the neck.

we always considered our mobile phones to be the thing but the fall caused my sister to lose her mobile phone so she may well have been stranded.

is anyone aware of a recommended piece of equipment the wife and i should investergate as we have seen some adds on TV and heard them on AW but you know all that glitters is not gold so we would prefer to hear what you suggest

realy value your opinion

Hi Peter and welcome back.

I think you are in SA if I remember rightly and there's one company advertised here in SA that under some circumstances you pay nothing for it.  So worth checking out.

$300 better in your sister's pocket.  It might be the care alarm but not sure.

Peter,

As your sister is over 85 she should also be eligible for Government rebate as well if she's in SA.  Don't know about other states but worth checking out..

Peter,

Have just sent you a PM with a couple of sites to check out for conditions and eligibility requirements.

It would be nice to have the sites to check out eligibility requirements on this thread :)
