Seggie. I understand why many want to come and live in Australia because of threats to their life. What I do not understand is how can they leave their wives and children?There is nothing in the world that would have made me leave my children. If threats were made to a young married man and he pays $5000 to get on a boat to come here, what about the threat to his 'loved' ones, the ones he left. Surely they'd be in a worse position?
seggie I think you will find that in many places it is the young men who are most likely to be killed. The women are seen as less of a threat to those who are the enemy. Many come here, hoping to get citizenship and settled and then bring their family out.

But, this is when a search is being made for a specific individual.
Were these young men you mention considered dangerous in their country of origin, or did they fear generally the strong possibility of being killed?
Twila I was not speaking about any young men in particular, just in reading it seems that young men who are perceived by the enemy as being a threat can be subjected to greater threat to their lives than women. Yes families may and do suffer repercussions, depending on the country. I think anyone who flees their country must have a genuine fear. The young man from Pakistan in the Tasmanian movie I mentioned on one of the threads, Mary meets Mohammed, left his wife to come to Australia because of persecution, (he is Hazara), now he is settled and has work he is planning to bring his wife out here and to settle in Tasmania.
Who's to know if these healthy young men are not Jihads? Look at the 2 killers in london talking about 'their lands' their land is England, they were born there and if the ;innocent law abiding muslims are so outraged why don't they eject the hate mongers from their communities and mosques, why aren't the extremists deported?
It seems to me that the West have bent over backwards to accommodate these people yet they take offence at everything and expect special treatment which when not given entitles them to label us as racist, they do not want to integrate, they are members of a 'death cult' not a religion
maggs a spiritually weak West has no answer to Islam. Thank God many of the young Muslims are becoming born again Christians. They will be awake to what is really going on more so than Australians or other spiritually weak Western Nations. Atheism has no answers when the chips are down.
Well said Maggs,and very true,in my years working as a boilermaker/welder i met a lot of different people,the best pipe welders i met were Lebanese,for some reason they were very good welders and hard workers too,but,in Cabramatta in the 90's i worked with 2 Lebanese welders one a Christian the other Muslim,they hated each others guts.
The Christian would spit when the Muslim walked by and the Muslim would growl if the Christian walked by,this is why they left Lebanon? because of civil war and after ruining their own homeland they brought all their hate here,for God's sake,it never ends does it.
I walked up to the Muslim one lunch time (no names no pack drill) and was going to sit and have lunch,just out of courtesy,he always sat by himself,he said to me "Billy,I cant eat with you,I said why N.....,he said,and this is fair dinkum,If i break bread with you(i was eating a meat pie) then i cant kill you at a later date,fair dinkum,this is my work mate,a guy I respected for his work ethic and he said that to me,this is what the problem is,its not the West its them,its a personal vendetta,goes back for hundreds of years,how do you beat that,you cant,you cant,but that is the problem,its not us "Skips" its the garbage and hatred that is inside them!

Hate has the same face wherever it is preached, Australians, looking at some of the posts in here are every bit as capable of hate as the Muslim.

Your "Christian" workmate who spat at the Muslim was not a real Christian, people take the name as if it is a football club, they may fool you, but they don't fool the One they purport to follow. "By their fruits you shall know them...........out of a man's mouth comes what is in his heart." God is no swayed by outward appearances as fallible man is, He looks more deeply than man can.
Its says that in the Koran.......I really don`t know why they come here at all ...some say to avoid fighting in their wars...etc....I spoke to a couple of Muslims once in the Foodhall in Perth and asked a few questions which they denied and laughed about...so I really think they here for the beer so to speak then clear off when they ready back to their own country......to collect the pensions when that age......................unless UK stops it and also here...
Yes Billy and its nigh impossible to talk about finding a solution when we have some people denying that any problems exist and we're told to censor ourselves out of respect for a religion that violates the human rights of half the people on the planet and not only that we're supposed to show tolerance and respect for a religion that doesn't tolerate any way of life except their own and cater to their Islamic ideologies. When Muslims start showing the same level of outrage about things that are genuinely offensive, like the thousands of women and girls who are murdered, mutilated and raped every year in their countries then we might take them a bit more seriously.
O well maybe your words have some affect on some people....I find it very distressing really that they abound here in our different religions.........with the heat in our summers here I believe they had some talk on hygiene etc as they not used to public toilets etc and sewerage..throwing everything down there including the kitchen sink and other very undesirable stuff...lolol..........evidently the Lake nearby here was found to have babies disposables floating amongst other things I won`t mention and I felt for the young newsreader who spelt out these items on the 6 oclock news the other night.............disgusting I say.............they not here to melt into the society that has kindly taken them in fronm supposedly war torn situations.....they seem to have very good english accents the ones here in WA anyway................
