The way to fight back against extremists is to leave it to law enforcement to bring them to justice, give them a FAIR trial and if convicted, penalise them to the full extent of the law. To do otherwise is to become extremists ourselves. It should not matter what brand of terrorist - Australian, Muslim, Christian, American etc., etc.

I also agree with Radish about the abortion clinics.... a number of doctors and clinic workers (especially in the U.S.) have been killed for doing their work. When anyone tries to force their beliefs on others (religious, political, ethnic etc), to my mind, they are extremists.....its all just a matter of scale. Is someone who kills an abortion clinic doctor less of an extremist/terrorist than someone who kills thousands?

I wonder what lies in store for us when those who are currently locked up in the high security jail are released.

I refer to the ones who were going to blow up Holsworth Army Barracks.

Did not mention the abortion clinics...must be someone else...but I am against any extremists, no matter who they are,  and at the moment there is only one type that I can see that could cause trouble and have threatened to cause trouble.

P.S. All the Christians have been driven out of Mosel in Iraq. The choice is convert to Islan, die or leave.

"All the people in my neighbourhood were Muslim. They came to help me — about 20 people — at the door in front of my house. They tried to convince Isis not to kill me."

They spared him but took away his ID card and threw him out of his house.

Mosul had boasted a Christian community for almost 2,000 years. But the al-Qaeda splinter group that took over the city last month gave Christians an ultimatum -- stay and pay a tax or convert to Islam or be killed.

A report by Human Rights Watch found that homes in Mosul were painted with the letter "N" for Nasrani (the Arabic word for Christian). Others were painted with the letter "R" for Rafidah, a word commonly used by Sunnis to describe Shiites.

The vicar of the only Anglican church in Iraq warned that the end for Christians in the country appears "very near"."

So the extremists win.   As I have said before there will be choice for moderate Muslims...they have to surrender to the radicals or die themselves.
