Although patches or plastic wrist bands are registered as repellents by APVMA, these only offer very limited and localised protection (generally only immediately around the product, if at all).

I had my doubts but thought someone may have used them.  Guess it will be back to Aerogard sprays.

We seem to have a plethora of mosquitoes here this year.  No reason for it and I keep cooking oil on the top of the water so there's no larvae in my tanks.  Always just before summer starts I put 1/2 cup cooking oil in.

I also read if you tuck a  fabric softener sheet in your pocket the fragrance helps prevent  the mozies from finding you - another trial :)

The other thing I noticed is that if I am standing next to my neighbour - they seem to prefer her.... LOL
