Why can't they just have laser displays set to music in this era of technology?  Cheaper and cleaner/safer for the environment!

Why change something that works and gives us protection by our relationship to our forefathers and Queen.

I've travelled the world and found many nations are very jealous of those that have the Queen.

Good post Geoff, like many people I had a beaut Oz Day celebration. Couldn't help myself! However, I did spare more than a thought to the original inhabitants of this great land and did feel some sadness and yes a little shame that while we are all celebrating, many Indigenous people could not bring themselves to do so. Understandably.  I am of the opinion that the name should be changed, to what I don't know, but some debate should continue along these lines in Parliament when the PM is done handing out knighthoods.
