Arthritic Knees and too low toilets - painful rising outcome!
Aidacare NSW SA QLD TAS etc is the supplier can look them up.
link to actual seat quoted at $1,109.20 -
But googled without +au and got Wal Mart in USA and similar prices for similar item $21 US so plus postage wont be that much more.
Also they sell Wayfair products with links as sponsored so had a look and up came - visiting from Australia - go here - Oz website but guess what - dont sell these either.
What is it - rip off the elderly, the disabled and poor in Australia or what - seems to me a disgrace. Some poor old sod just may get caught by these rip off merchants. And pay.
I almost did a couple of years back. Got one huge high step at the front and thought need a grab rail. So none in local hardware, asked around, said go to this place fit them for the elderly. Yep first experience quoted $380. Found my builder bloke who had replaced wooden windows for me - and he said can do it for $60.
Seems a whole industry devoted to ripping off the elderly.
You have to be very careful - ask for Seniors discount they say, must mean red light for rip these silly old buggers off.
So watch out if you too looking to raise the loo seat a bit!
May just have to put it in "too hard basket" and get normal seat but do wish they did one that is not plastic so cold enough to mak your teeth rattle in winter. Ha Ha - must be some sort of new type of plastic that feels warmer by now dont you think?
I wonder how Asians and Middle Easterners manage their toilets when they get old and frail and the legs get wonky? Imagine having to crouch over a hole in the ground with arthritic knees.
