My dilemma was to start a gardening thread!

Noticed my Spring Bulbs are through already! And it is only the end of April.

Check out this nifty guide for planting bulbs (how deep and when) | MyGardenSchool's Blog

I also have two Orchids in flower both Yellow which is a nice surprise but a bit early.

Beautiful display Celia. Good on you.

That's a lovely shot Celia.I only wish I had a pergola to hang many pots on to.

I keep forgetting to tell people what I put on my plants on a regular basis!

Pot Ash!

Don't go heavy handed with it and follow directions!

I think after watering it in about once each three weeks you may start to notice some beds coming in 6 -7 weeks!

I have been amazed the difference it makes the flowering of my pots and hanging baskets.

Of course keep the watering can out of the sun you don't want to water them with the sunshine smiling at you!

Good Luck.

In our back garden.

Celia - As usual all your plants look so healthy. I have now invested in the Liquid Potash and have given my plants their first dose, lets hope I'll see a big improvement.

Hi Hola.

I was out last evening before the sun set giving the whole garden food in my 5 litre watering can, and my back didn't really like that exercise as I had a heavy day yesterday.   I am sure you will notice a difference in your blooms but it takes between a month and six weeks to see a difference I feel.    Never give them any liquid food with the sun on them you will do what I did once and burn them.

Not all my plants are look happy, I must take some photos of them looking sick before I snip them into the wheelie bin!

Like cakes not all are perfect!

Two days ago I was watching the Big Norfolk Pine being cut down, very sad, but I think it may have been a issue with the water people and their pipes, or it would have also been a worry to us as it had got so tall and if we had a storm we wound have had an issue not only us but the houses around here.

I don't know how old it was but we have been here six years and I used to lay down and watch the birds go into the pine at the top, then it was so tall I could not see the top from where we sat!

Reminds me of years ago taking down the very tall Palms.

The yellow Iris I put in to cover the water metre!

Your flowers are so beautiful Celia ... what a wonderful effort by you ... congratulations.

Thank you RnR

There are various issues I was taught to try to keep the plants healthy besides killing off the eating insects to get the blooms growing nicely.

In the Western Australian bush, just outside Bremer Bay in the state's south, grows a rare orchid that botanists, spotters and photographers travel from all around the world to see.

Does anyone grow their own vegetables in their gardens please?

What is the secret?

Much as I have tried I gave up because of the amount of spraying for the bugs become too much.

I tried but gave up due to bugs.

Yes we too RnR it was very frustrating I really wanted to grow our vegs.

I've never thought about planting Lupins in the garden!

But they are very pretty.
