wow a new record for me 17 minutes to get into YLC and then 19 minutes to get here

Stewie --- Know how you feel. Sometimes I am waiting for at least 10 minutes. This morning I made a quick trip to the laundry to start the washing, hurried back, still nothing, and then 25 minutes later I was able to put the washing on the line, it had only just come on. I'm sure all those adds which keep flashing on must have something to do with it.

No Thea to be truthful I dont like the sound from them ( But dont let my wife know ok lol

Perhaps it's a matter of which server YLC keeps the site on and the actual speeds that their particular provider has, bearing in mind the continuing Telstra outages in certain areas at the moment.

I know another senior's site was having the same problem last year because they were with Optus who were experiencing outages to the Melbourne area in which the server was located.

Slow as all get out for me too I might add (as compared to other Australian sites).

Thea - I have never been to W.A. Mum and Dad loved it. It's on my Wish List. I am with Vodafone and seem to have the same trouble as the others.

Hola...the longest I have ever waited is 5mins...

Of course..I'm biased...but it's a great place to live.

hola i am wih vodafone, and often takes me an hour to get on, sometimes i cant, it comes up, ;THIS SITE NOT AVAILABLE;

I find it very slow but not as slow as mentioned above. I live in NSW.

I can understand any business having unexpected problems, but most of them put in a major effort to fix the problem. This has been a problem for months now. I have just installed a new Computer, thinking that the old computer may have been the problem. No change. 3 to 5 minutes to log on then often a whole minute to get up a new thread. Very frustrating.

Thea - I can bring my Castanets and Stewie and I can busk in the street to pay for food. Oh the mind boggles just thinking about it. Ya gotta laugh!!!!

If YLC does not have enough band width it will be slow.!!

Sometimes it is easy to get onto YLC site and sometimes it takes ages if able to get on at all, when I can't get on I now just go to another site and come back later for another try, seems to vary with the time of day as to how difficult it is to get onto YLC.

Yeah I find it varies with time of day, no where near as bad as some are reporting.

I think the NBN have installed a new bit of string to us. I know we are not getting the cable, they possibly left a few knots in the string.

Take it easy.

It would be nice if YLC could let us know that they are doing something about it.

I can get into another senior site within seconds.

The other day it was a bit slow here on YLC but normally it is fine for me.

What ISP are you all with -- I am with Internode -- have always found them great

Yup.

And their call centre is staffed by Australians!

Well, South Australians, but I can lve with that ;-)

YEs Barak they are a Sth Aussie mob and I have been with them for 9 years and not one problem ever
