Safety idea so simple, it’s genius

Whether it’s the idea for an ad, tv show or product, we’ve all heard about something so simple, yet clever that we can't believe we didn't think of it.

Well now a rape crisis centre in the UK has responded to the increase in online dating and people meeting through Tinder that it’s come up with the ‘Ask for Angela’ campaign.

Quite simply, if a date isn't going so well then all the person has to do is head for the bar and ‘Ask for Angela’ and the staff will know that some assistance is required. They will then discreetly get you out of the situation, call you a taxi and make sure you get home safely.

Lincolnshire Rape Crisis Centre, in the east of England, has displayed the following posters, kindly shared by @iizzzzzi on Twitter, on toilet doors in bars through the county:

Since shared last Wednesday, the image has been re-tweeted almost 27,000 times.

What do you think? Is something like this a clever idea?
