About Seniors site freezing

Hi all - does anyone else have a problem with this site? I log in without a problem, but before the next page loads, it quite frequently freezes. I don't have this problem with any other site. Is there anything I can do? If I am the only one having this problem, then I guess I just have to live with it.

It has been happening to me for SO long I accept it but it is a pain and yes just this site that I know of.

I refresh and then it comes good but sometimes refresh a couple of times before it does.

All the best

Phyl.

Doesn't happen to me - what browser are you using I found when forced to use IE that it froze but only used it as couldn't get in on Firefox - and the Web Master fixed that as soon as he was back from his hols.

.

Try Firefox 3. Best browser on the market free and far more secure than IE any number and IE8 is on its way quite soon having come off beta which means some of the bugs are gone :) :) :)

Also can maybe depend on your ISP and if you are on Broadband or the old dial up - broadband is as cheap as dial up these days even if only 256/64 faster. I am on fastest I can get in rural Tasmania - 1.5 Mb per second on ADSL. It is a lot faster than the 256 Mb but nothing like 8Mb on ADSL2. which is coming to my exchange any time soon as we have had a major factory moved in so along comes Telstra to update the exchange - whoopee.

Money talks. :)

It happens to me as well takes forever to load--and then sometimes I have to try again--

Thanks for the response, I don't feel so alone now. I am on ADSL , not sure of the download speed, but it's pretty quick. I do use IE. I recently swapped to Firefox and couldn't open links in emails. Tried everything that was recommended by HP to restore the registration code, didn't work. Then in a forum someone suggested I try changing the browser I was using, so went back to IE, and voila, problem solved. So for me, it is better the devil you know that the one you don't know. But thanks for your input all of you on the freezing question.

Jade - if you were using Firefox on this forum some time back now - see tech talk on Firefox thread for date - I couldn't get in here and had to go to IE but it is now fixed.

As for the speed on your broadband - try this.

Thanks guys much appreciated

Sometime I hit the refresh button ---F5

Refresh  Please do so to the Kruddy government.

Meanwhile I will stick to Firefox for which this site behaves beautifully.

The Web master recommended using Firefox.

BTW I have Secunia PSI which is a wonderful program for making sure you have secure computer and that your programs are all updated and also checks with windows that everything possible with their OS is patched.

It now reports I have 3 insecure browsers on my computer the report says Insecure - No solution possible.

Internet Explorer 6. Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 8.

Happy surfing and do make sure you have good Anti everything!
