Are you more stylish because you love second hand?
Back when I was a kid, there was some not inconsiderable stigma attached to buying something at an op shop.
It was important that everything you bought was new and even better if it came with a famous label.
But a recent study has shown that people who shop in op shops or second hand are consistently more stylish than people who shop in conventional stores.
Op shopping has hit a new popularity these days. There are blogs, Facebook pages, Instagram accounts and tours devoted to the art. I have a shirt I paid $2.50 for that people comment on every single time I wear it and this week I nabbed a handbag worth $200 new for $15.
Have you taken up the habit? What’s your best buy?
I am "stylish" without buying from op shops....never bought any clothing from one and since I am not too interested in wearing the latest fashion, that does not interest me.
I like the classics and they are always stylish.
