Australia's top 100 online retailers have been revealed and top spot has gone to none other than sausage sizzle and hardware giant Bunnings.

The list has been put together by e-commerce platform Power Retail and was announced at a gala in Melbourne on Wednesday.

Following Bunnings in the top five were: Woolworths, Kmart, JB Hi-Fi and Coles.

Companies were assed on 41 different criteria including earch capabilities, shopper time on-site, accessibility, delivery options, payment options, pages viewed by session, site performance, ratio of mobile users, mobile app success, login capabilities and net promoter score.

"We thank our incredible team for their hard work delivering a great experience for our customers, whether they shop with us online or in-store, and we are grateful for the continued support of our customers," Bunnings managing director Mike Schneider told SmartCompany.
