Cheap healthy eats

What do you eat on the cheap without compromising health? I like to make dhal (lentils with basmati rice (low GI) and enjoy with a leafy green salad. I also enjoy tinned sardines (good for  omega 3 fat and calcium if you eat the soft bones) with a salad on toast or with pasta and steamed veggies. Eggs on toast with some herbs and avocado is great too.

What about you? Would love some more ideas :)

I like crunchy peanut butter on celery stalks. Is that healthy?

Try Sanitarium peanut butter, nothing but peanuts and no additives and Aussie made..

Sanitarium is a silly brand name as it is a hospital for TB patients

I've tried it today and it is YUM !!!

The best peanut butter I have found is Coles Crunchy Peanut butter which has been awarded 4 health stars and is made with Aussie peanuts.

That picture looks like something my dog spewed up last night.

Your dog needs to see a vet Davy, or could be your cooking!!

The healthiest is what you make for yourself.  I have made my own peanut butter for years.

Not for me mind, for my hubby.

Remember you could buy freshly ground peanut butter years ago. Hate it in sandwiches but love it in cooking, how do you make and store your homemade one Sandi. Sounds like it would be worth sending my grandchildren home with some.
