I think was at cheltenham girls school in nsw thet a rule by someone sais girls are not to be referred to as girls, ladies o women.

They are to be refered to as gender neutral things.

Spose this aplies to blokes too so we have this funny situation where gender neutral its will grow up and hav gender neutral partners and GN kids.

I wonder iffen the bright spark who thort of this actually got paid for "it's" days work.

This is all part of the LNP/Murdoch/IPA campaign to disparage government schools, and the LGBTI community.

It's time more people realised....

1. ...how many media outlets are Rupert's. You must look wider than the Tele.

2. Murdoch has an agenda. His "news reporting" is not neutral.

The allegations made in the Daily Telegraph are being investigated at the request of the New South Wales education minister, Adrian Piccoli, as is departmental policy for any public complaint.

But Guardian Australia understands there was never any instruction given to avoid use of “girls”, “ladies”, “women” or other gender-specific terms at Cheltenham Girls high school, and there was no basis to the Daily Telegraph’s report.

In a post to Facebook on Wednesday afternoon, the school said it had “a proud ongoing tradition of providing high quality education for girls”.

“The school has not and will not change the way students’ gender is referred to.”

There should be punishment for journalists, newspapers, shock jocks and radio stations for writing and broadcasting lies and misinformation. A school is unlikely to sue but there should be laws requiring public apology and large fines.

Maybe the Education Department can/will sue for the damage done to the Schools reputation. 

Doesnt Australia have a Press Council that demands honest journalism? 

Murdoch showed what a sleaze he was in condoning the phone-tapping, nothing has to be true or private for that group, sensation after all sells papers.
