Graphics Card and sound card ??

Hi There- can anyway tell me how to find out which graphics card and sound card I have. I want to buy a device to convert video tapes to DVD, the system requirements are:

Pentium-IV 1.6GHz or higher
256 MB RAM or higher of system memory
An available USB port (preferably USB 2.0)
Graphics card (must support DirectX 9.0c or above)
Sound card (AC97 compatible sound card)
1GB of free hard drive space
CD-ROM drive (for software installation)
CD or DVD burner (if intending on copying from your computer to CD or DVD)
Supports Microsoft Windows XP/Vista

I don't want to pay out $100.00 only to find my laptop is not compatible.

If you are running windows XP, you might find the information by going to help and support from the Start icon. Type in PChealth, then choose info about the hardware installed on this computer. It may give you what you're looking for.

Go here and put in the system you have--ie windows --and click on--it will tell you everything you have on your computer

The is also another one called Belarc Advisor--- that is also very good

Hope this helped

Thank you to both of the above posters for your assistance. I used the link and found out exactly what I needed to know. I can now go ahead and buy the gizmo that will do the tape to CD conversions.

Glad I was of help
