Heaven help us all

Another little Hitler waiting in the wings

Albo looking to Palaszczuk as a “template” Govt

That’s really scary

Palaszczuk had mandates

Palaszczuk had tough border restrictions

Palaszczuk abused Human Rights

AND Albo wants to follow THAT example

AND don’t forget Morrison didn’t stop Palaszczuk

Albanese to look to Palaszczuk as a ‘template’ for government
Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese has foreshadowed what a federal Labor government would look like, pointing to Queensland Premier

God forbid --I can not stand Palaszczuk

Ditto PlanB. But then Scomo and Albo are even worse. If Albo gets in, we are going to be under more rules and regulations than ever. He's another Daniels in the making. If we took out Labor, Liberal, Greens and Nationals, who in hell are we left with to vote for?

A Timeline of the Morrison Government's broken ICAC promise....

August 2018: Liberal Party leadership spill derails consideration of a cabinet submission on a federal anti-corruption body
November 2018: Independent Cathy McGowan introduces bill for a National Integrity Commission.
December 2018: Scott Morrison announces that he will establish a federal anti-corruption commission, less than a month after dismissing the proposal as a "fringe issue". Consultation is invited on draft legislation for a Commonwealth Integrity Commission.
March 2019: The Morrison Government receives 78 submissions, and more than 3,000 emails from GetUp members panning the proposed National Integrity Commission model as toothless.
August 2019: Christian Porter claims the Morrison Government will establish a National Integrity Commission within 12 months.
September 2019: The Greens introduce their bill for a National Integrity Commission.
May 2020: Porter claims draft National Integrity Commission legislation is ready, but timeline has been derailed by Covid-19 pandemic.
September 2020: Independent MP Helen Haines introduces her bill to set up an Australian federal integrity commission.
November 2020: Another round of consultation is invited on draft legislation for the National Integrity Commission.
February 2021: More than 1,500 GetUp make a submission demanding of a robust, independent federal integrity commission with teeth.
March 2021: Consultation closes on the draft National Integrity Commission bill – once again, it is blasted by experts and the public for clear insufficiencies.
May 2021: The Morrison Government's budget reduces staffing for the CIC from 76 to 0, indicating it's not expected before the election.
October, 2021: Helen Haines reintroduces her bill for an Australian federal integrity commission.
December 2021: GetUp awards the inaugural Dodgies Award to Christian Porter's $1 million blind trust to silence the ABC's allegations took out the gold, with Frydenberg's half-a-billion grant to an obscure "environmental foundation" and Barnaby Joyce's shonky water buyback scheme coming in silver and bronze.
January 2022: Australia records its worst ranking ever on Transparency International's anti-corruption index, sliding to 18th – on a par with Hungary.
March 2022: The Morrison Government's election budget confirms zero funding for a National Integrity Commission.
What does a good national anti-corruption body look like?
A strong federal anti-corruption watchdog should include three key things:

Yes, Beemee, our form of voting is a real mongrel -- because no matter how you vote Lab OR Libs will get in as they all have to give preference votes.

Maybe we will get a hung parliament? That will cost us the taxpayers even MORE money

As a Queenslander, what a load of crap Beemee.

As a voter, I will thoroughly look at my local candidates and vote for the one that I think best serves the interests of the electorate ...

anything else is pointless.

Oh you are funny RnR and obviously live in Brizzy or some other noteable town. My local candidates are few and far between. In my electorate the people have all brown lips - from all the butt kissing of one Liberal asshole who pushed (and still is) the Welfare Card. He knows its crippling everyone but he doesn't care. Its all the old guard who think he is doing a good job and only the newer residents and some younger people who can see through his facade.

The Labor candidate is similar to GG - gone AWOL, hear nothing at all of what their plans are. This is a heavy Lib seat so I guess they have given up even trying.

One Nation was a blimp on the radar about 4- 5 years ago, now there is no candidate here. No Greens either. No Independents.... ad infinitum! Its sort of, you ARE having this area as Liberal whether you like it or not!

Yes I agree I would pick the best candidate if I had them to choose from, but when there is one...nope! I have no idea if any will suddenly appear before election day, but I do hope so otherwise its not worth voting, I may as well pay the fine in advance.

Same here RnR I always check out the local candidates and vote for the one I like best in my electorate.

I agree PlanB

Preference votes should not be.

As RnR and Hola state they will pick the candidate who best serves their electorate but it is the preference vote that will get the party in.... hence it will do little for their electorate.

I check out their preferences too if they've declared them.

I am trying to find out who is giving preferences to whom. I did a check yesterday and the Independents went to both Lab and Lib and set out their conditions in which they will give their preferences, both disagreed and said no? Makes you wonder why? Is there any links that can tell us who is giving what to whom?

No matter who you choose to vote for the Lab or the Libs will get in -- that is preferential voting

It would be good if it was a real hung parliament -- I mean hang the lot of them!

Albanese wants to be Hawke, Howard and Palasczuk. Has he such a low self esteem that he can't be Albanese? Perhaps he wants to be transgender?
