hey Phyl - where are you
G'day all - hope your all well - i have been a very naughty boy - been away and just to lazy to keep in touch - mind o i knew that when i had a problem or a question you were all here.
have been lucky enough to have been some places but when i got back needed to opologise to all my Pommie mates - always told them that if the place was so good - why are they here.
well now i understand why anyone from Europe is here its for work mainly.
I always was of the opinion that no place on earth was as beautiful as my home Australia so you could just emagine how my understanding has changed - all of Europe is just fabulous - the light is softer and simple flowers look spectacular to me.
Stayed at a beaut pub The Thistle at Marble bar for a fortnight - just loved London - then toured England ,Ireland Scotland and Wales for a month , what a wonderful experience and we went to the Edinborgh Military Tatto.
spent another eleven days at The Thistle then off to Europe down to Turkey via Albania then back up through the Greek Islands to Italy then back to London via Sitzerland and France
Few days at The Thistle and it was starting to feel like home - the chef was fabulous.
had a week at Hong Kong on the way home and we discovered a beaut little pub in Kowloon - The Nathan - it was beaut but you must get rooms above the Nathan floor.
Its very Chinese but the service is fabulous and the dinning room is fabulous - not the furniture - the food and service - they treat you like family
Once home decided the caravan was far to big for me to handle so we traded her up to a Sunliner motor home which is beaut
well thats us and i would love to be part of the community once more - now that i have been educated a bit
regards
peter
Love your comm ents...Yes if the weather we have in the west here at present of course no HOTTER I think there would be a mass exodus to UK I am a Yorkshire girl and there is nowhere to ME that is like my homeland.....My family wanted back there when hubby passed away but I was shocked as I always thought they loved it here......we do get settled and comfortable in our ways as we age...I think people on the whole are becoming far more nomadic never mind the scenery etc etc and I have a plethora of UK pals and they never mention to me wanting to come here as I say they all settled whatever.....they say Tassie the best of the bunch though...Maybe I may venture forth one of these days....I see an adult now can travel on the Boat to the Island free or cost of a child...I do get homesick though........
