Veteran TV journalist Mike Willesee has died after a long battle with throat cancer.

One of the best. Really liked the old 60 minutes team with Jana and the others whose names I can't remember at the moment.

I agree Ray..loved his style and facial expressions.

I remember some of the other names were George Negus and Ian Leslie and of course Jana.

Mike was a really nice person and on the ball and smart as and also had a LOT of empathy he was a top bloke

Will never forget the episode where he was drunk and high on valium. Always makes me smile

I loved the way Willesee made politicians from all sides squirm under direct questioning and his stare without the viewer getting any clue to what Willesee's political leanings were, a rarity then and today
