No improvement in womens' pay for last 20 years
a new report says that lower pay for women has remained stagnant for the last twenty years.
"What we're talking about here is much more sinister … It's the unconscious biases and the systemic market issues — that women are almost trained from birth, shall we say, to fall into those traditional caring roles. "Women, families and our economies pay the price in the long term for these underlying social attitudes towards women."
sadly, we still have a patriarchal society where white males have more opportunities, rewards and priveleges than women. shame on you australia.

I thought the most recent report was done by Community Council of Australia. Also thought KPMG are auditors. Anyway, I do not agree with this blanket statement. In my experience over the years there have been pleasing improvemnets in trying to close the male/female pay gap. There is still a lot of work to be done - a whole lot. In my opinion, there will always be a gap until men and women take equal responsibility for looking after children and other domestic duties which women are still "responsible" for.
