Easter eggs that should be avoided

It’s that time of the year to spoil the grandchildren with delicious chocolate, but children’s first aid support group Tiny Hearts Education (THE), has issued a warning for grandparents this Easter.

THE wants grandparents and parents of young children to avoid buying mini chocolate eggs as they are small, round and solid and are a potential choking hazard.

THE instead suggests choosing hollow eggs, as they are easier to crumble and  much safer.

THE recommends not offering children solid eggs until they are at least three years old.
