Queen ‘delighted’ by royal baby news

Just hours after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle touched down in Sydney on Monday, Kensington Palace announced that the couple were expecting their first child.

The baby, who will be seventh in line to the throne, is due in autumn next year.

Princess Meghan aroused suspicion when she departed Sydney airport carrying some strategically placed folders which were obviously being used to disguise a baby bump.

“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” the palace tweeted.

The Queen, Prince Charles, and Harry’s brother Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are “delighted” for the couple, Kensington Palace said.

..... the Press Release from Kensington Palace was well timed and orchestrated - just like the rest of the Monarchy!   :-)

It's sad that this welfare dependant family continue to bleed the British tax payer pockets instead of getting real jobs.

Well its not your pocket so why the misery guts?

Seriously? They work for life and make the Commonwealth millions in tourism and good will.

Then on top of that they are the caretaker of Britain's treasures and yet don't actually own them. So it really isn't that difficult to thank Harry for going out west to see the farmers during this terrible drought, support the injured soldiers and others in the Invictus games and wish Meghan all the best for her future baby.

What a sick response to this joyful news.  So sad for you!

Few people work as hard as the main members of the British Royal Family.  At 92 years of age, the Queen has honoured her commitment to the people and made herself available for countless thousands of engagements which would exhaust the majority of her subjects.  The younger ones are now stepping forward with their own contributions.  By their very presence they contribute millions to the British Tourist Industry every year.  They certainly are not 'welfare dependant' as a reader above suggested.  Historically, it has been shown that a monarchy has more stability than a republic.

I wouldn’t mind living in one of their " welfare ” homes, Balmoral would be kinda OK.

Like your outfit jackie, where can I get one for olbaid and Foxy for christmas?

.... awwwww nice thought Mica - suggest you save your money tho' - you need it for ya' "Troll" medication!!

It's obvious the Queen is very fond of Meghan..lovely to see the chemistry between them..

Image result for the queen and meghan

Rumour has it she has invited Meghan's mum Doria to have Christmas lunch with the family..which is a first for a new in-law!

Well why wouldn't she? The Middletons have done the same!

Its a lovely photo.

"The baby, who will be seventh in line to the throne, is due in autumn next year."  Seriously?

Just how long is a pregnancy these days?????

Should be about the normal time KSS, same as for us mere vassals. Note the northern hemisphere autumn starts about April, about 6 months away.

Are you guys hoping to apply for jobs as midwives? LOL

Props for waiting until after Eugene's wedding to make the announcement so as to not distract attention away from the bride.

I'm happy for them. I did suspect something was up when Meghan's trip to Fiji was cancelled. The zika virus can be very dangerous for pregnant women.

They've changed their minds Bijou and going ahead with the Fiji trip for both.

Northern Autumn starts in September folks. Just saying!!!

Due in Spring - our Autumn.

Maybe the baby is due in our Autumn which is March April May.

Hell Im glad you all got that sorted out!!

LOL

Wishing the Royal couple all the happiness and God's Blessings. They sure bring joy and smiles to all the little ones they meet, maybe just maybe this good feeling would be passed on to a few sceptics.

+1   :)

What a boon to have the networks following this happy couple, instead of the 24/7 'TV makes the news' muck-raking outside Parliament House.

Let us bow to a Royal babe. Nothing like wealth, privilege and status to grab our hearts and attention.

It makes everyone feel happy. Isn't that a nice thing.

GLAD to see that FERGIE was welcomed back into the fold at the wedding,     she looked lovely,    i like her,   at least she has a bit of spirit about her,       she has the perfect arrangement with ANDREW,    lives in the same house,  and can come and go as she pleases,   without having to answer to him,    wonder who wanders first through the night,  lol    perfect arrangement,

.....   "ships that pass thru' the night" ?    :-)

HA HA FOXY,    to true,   every marriage should be like that,
