Meghan Markle's US family say they have been "torn apart" by not being invited to her wedding to Prince Harry.

Speaking to the London Mirror, the US actress's half-brother, Thomas Markle, 51, said: "She’s clearly forgotten her roots."

In a bombshell interview just a month before the couple get married, Mr Markle claimed the US actress lost touch with relatives when she became a Hollywood star after joining the TV series Suits.

“Maybe the normal American family she has is embarrassing to her because we’re not producers and executive producers," said Mr Markle, who claimed he had not seen his sister since the 2011 death of their grandmother, whom she had helped care for when she became ill.
