Which Allen's lolly would you like to see 'go solo'?

Lovers of lollies Australia-wide have assailed Allen’s, asking for their favourite party mix sweets to be sold separately.

The candy company has been inundated with calls for peaches and cream, black cats and racing car lollies to have their own bag on the shelf, so, instead of running from consumer criticism, Allen’s is now running an online poll asking which Classic Party Mix treat customers would like to see packaged solo.

With bananas, red frogs, snakes, pineapples, milk bottles, jelly babies, and strawberries and cream lollies already sold separately from the party mix, and after a successful campaign by consumers of Jelly Dots managed to swing a solo selection, lolly-lovers are hoping the same tactic will work for their favourite fun fare.

So will racing cars beat the black cats over the line? Or will black cats spell bad luck for peaches and cream and the racing car lollies? Or will they all get a solo deal, making it peaches and cream for the lot of them? We'll find out ...

Do you have a Classic Party Mix favourite? Which sweet would you like to see packaged separately?

Chocolate-eating wagyu beef cattle fetching big money for Mayura

In the feed bunker of a South Australian cattle station sits 10 tonnes of chocolate. Mayura Station in Millicent in the state's south-east uses leftover chocolate from a nearby factory to feed its wagyu herd. "We've got a few M&Ms, some Smarties, a few blocks of chocolate broken up, crushed chocolate, and biscuit meal,” Mayura Station's Scott de Bruin said.

High-fat products such as molasses are usually used by cattle farmers to help in the fattening process. Instead, Mr de Bruin sourced chocolate from a closer factory and says they have not looked back. "Our customers started to tell us that our beef had this really unique flavour and was different to anything else they were tasting in the marketplace," he said.

Imagine the health industry will despair yet again, as I do at times regarding the 'body fat factor' in my life.

Wagyu steak with chocolate and chilli sauce, is to die for!

Kiah this wagyu meat is darn expensive here in Oz. Worth it though. Big business selling it to the Japanese who love it for cooking their yakiniku (grilled meat).

They will do ANYTHING for money --

Sugar is poison

yes - I get more then enough sugar in my diet drinking wine

What about the fructose in wine?Believe it or not, but wine actually contains minimal fructose. How?The fructose in the grapes is what ferments to become alcohol, leaving the finished product low in sugar. If the wine has been fermented to “dry” (red or white) it contains very low levels of residual sugar (less than 1g per litre).Red wine is lower in fructose than white wine and is definitely the better option in our opinion.

Rick-Brocky-Pete,

I saw your post on page one and would like to ask, why do you think this is "irresponsible". As Pauline would say, "please  explain."

Nikolai, a real shame Rick-Brocky refuses  to answer your question. What's eating him???
