Win movie tickets to see Golden Voices

Filmink is delighted to announce the Australian theatrical release of the whimsical comedy GOLDEN VOICES, releasing in cinemas on the 25 March.

Victor and Raya Frenkel were the golden voices of Soviet film dubbing for decades, lending their talent to everything from Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep in Kramer vs. Kramer to helping Fellini launch in the USSR. In 1990, with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Frenkels immigrated to Israel, just like hundreds of thousands of Soviet Jews, and are forced to adjust to the culture shock.

In their 60s, Victor and Raya’s attempts to use their vocal training results in bizarre and unexpected events during their first months in Israel, turning the beginning of the new chapter of their life into an amusing, painful, and absurd experience.

GOLDEN VOICES is based on the personal experience of co-screenwriter and director Evgeny Ruman (The Man In The Wall).

I like to look back at the past from a different perspective and turn it into a movie. This film was born from a love of cinema. While developing the project, I discovered it expresses something much bigger - a story of grown people that had to reinvent themselves completely to start a new life in Israel”, explains Ruman.
