I have sent yet ANOTHER email to the YLC and hope to get an answer back that tells me something -- I have had an answer b4 asking me to be patient -- I think we have all been VERY patient -- I sure hope they have the manners to explain what the hell is going on

I'm not having too much trouble with the forum at the moment. I'm using a laptop, haven't really tried posting from my phone or tablet. I do have to sign in to access it every time even though I tick 'remember me', but that doesn't particularly bother me because I have it saved in the Google password thingy, (technical term there). LOL

If I click 'reply' under a particular post it does tell me I am replying to the original poster rather than the post I want to reply to, but it does seem to appear in the right place (under the post I am actually replying to) after posting. Fingers crossed this one does after saying that. :)

I have to agree that the forum isn't as active though and that's a pity. But I'm noticing people are starting to use the 'feed' more often to make comments on various articles, so who knows, you may be right Beemee, maybe YLC is just letting the forum sort of fade away allowing the feed to become the new forum platform.

Hi PlanB - I do hope you had a nice Christmas and let's hope 2021 will be much better than the last year. I did visit that Forumotion.com/ site and it does look very interesting. Don't know why YLC doesn't try and start up something similar.

Jo. I have lost things I have posted not on YLC but on other sites. So what I do now is write it in Word then when happy copy and paste.

I have sent many emails to the YLC staff and just been asked to hang in there -- that was ages ago and the forum just seems to be still a mess wHY do they have to start with threads for decades ago?

Yet I can not find threads from months ago!?

I was advised by a member of Y.L.C. To join Disqus to enable me to join in discussions, YLC is for seniors, I am well over 80 and could not navigate through the disqus joining pages, please go back the previous system. where all that was required was user name and password, WHY DOES DISQUS require so much information and is so difficult to join? I suspect a large number of readers no longer join in discusions as it is to dam hard.
